Our Story

Some of my earliest memories are costume memories.

A scarf from my parents' closet was all we needed. Suddenly there was a play to perform, a ceremony to enact, and a whole world to step into.

Watching Mr. Dressup only confirmed it — imagination doesn't need much. Just permission to play.

When I became a parent, I kept hitting the same wall: costumes that didn't fit, couldn't be returned, and ended up forgotten in a bin. So much stuff, so little magic.

Carousel Costumes is my answer to that. A Toronto-based rental shop where families can find beautiful, well-made costumes, get a proper fitting, and skip the clutter — knowing each costume will go on to make someone else's day too.

Let the costume be just the beginning.
